This notice contains important information for customers who are considering applying Microsoft's June 2026 security update program in regarding IM-PDFAutoConverter.

- Customers who do not use the "Word to PDF conversion function" are not affected.
- Customers who have not applied Microsoft’s security update in June 2026 to the IM-PDFAutoConverter PDF conversion server are not affected.

* Customers affected
Customers who meet all of the following conditions are affected.

Customers who are currently using the IM-PDFAutoConverter’s "Word to PDF conversion function", as well as customers considering using it.
- Customers who plan to apply Microsoft's June 2026 security update to the IM-PDFAutoConverter PDF conversion server.

* Customers not affected
The following customers will not be affected by this matter.

- Customers who do not use the IM-PDFAutoConverter "Word to PDF conversion function" (e.g., those using only the HTML/Excel to PDF conversion function).
- Customers who have not applied Microsoft's June 2026 security update to their IM-PDFAutoConverter PDF conversion server.

* Problem occurring
It has been confirmed that applying Microsoft's June 2026 security update program will cause an issue where IM-PDFAutoConverter will no longer be able to convert Word documents to PDF.

* Cause
It appears that the Microsoft's June 2026 security update program includes a change in behavior regarding Word OLE.

* Future actions

This issue was resolved by a Microsoft security update released in July 2026.

The IM-PDFAutoConverter patch released in July 2026 is not required unless only the June 2026 security update program has been applied to the server where IM-PDFAutoConverter is installed.

If you encounter the problem after applying Microsoft's security update from June 2026, you can resolve it using one of the following methods:

　A. Apply the patch for IM-PDFAutoConverter that we released in July 2026
　　*Please refer to the attached file for instructions on how to apply it.
　B. Apply the security patch in the July 2026 Windows Update.

If you plan to apply OS updates to servers where IM-PDFAutoConverter is installed in the future, be sure to apply updates from July 2026 onward.
